From Boucle’ to Beehives…art yarn lets the artist come out in everyone that spins this funky yarn! We will start with making add-ins and where to find them. Then a quick lesson in making an Art Batt to create several different art yarn styles.

Students should bring (for the sharing table): clean fiber (dyed and natural), mohair locks, silk noil, threads, lace or sequin trim, thrums, mylar shred, angelina, firestar, spool of sparkly thread, crochet cotton, beads, feathers, silk scarves torn in strips. 

Bring your Spinning wheel (in working order), three empty bobbins and accessories. If a few students can bring a manual drum carder that would get us spinning faster.
